This week promised to be one for the ages with the forecast showing winds easing off and big spring tides on the cards.

The last week of July proved very encouraging indeed with lots of good quality fish running into the river.
EAST RANGA… CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC…
At 10 July the average of 12 fishers have landed 145 salmon for the season.

The first 10 days of the East Ranga season saw generally nice fishing conditions – clear water, a good height and not too much wind.

20 June saw the opening of the 2025 East Ranga season with 8 fish landed.
