The last week of September was an incredible week of weather and fishing alike with almost all of our well renowned species showing their faces and taking flies.

The week started off in true St Francois fashion with an epic bonefish session. Thousands of bonefish moved off the flats as the tide dropped.

OK so we now look to have a decent spell of weather ahead. The river is in good shape and fishing 7-11 August was good

The weather. The weather!!!! It has been raining non-stop since the last week of July and the river has been largely in terrible condition.

What a party! The past five days have produced some excellent fishing, with just over 200 salmon landed

We were blessed with a real mix or rods from well travelled Atlantic Salmon fisherman, super patient Steelheaders and total beginners.

The opening on East Ranga can occasionally be very good but often it’s tough fishing. Yesterday was a good start.

10 anglers took to the flats on day one of fishing on Farquhar and were met with some tricky weather conditions, but Sasha, despite this challenge, landed the first GT of the week!

This week on Astove, we had a few rain squalls pass by early in the week, with southeasterly winds starting to blow a bit more.

This past week on Cosmoledo was set over a full moon spring tide. Over the week, water movement slowly increased day by day.

This week was another all-around beauty on Alphonse and St Francois. The neap tides slowly made way for the springs, bringing greater fluctuations of water on the flats.

This week, we welcomed 10 anglers from Russia, France, and America to test their fishing skills on the flats of Farquhar.

This week was undoubtedly our best GT fishing week and arguably our best all-around fishing week. Our guests enjoyed excellent weather, great tidal movement, and heaps of hungry fish, making many dreams come true.

Our last week of the season on Cosmoledo was mainly based on neap tides.

The weather held for most of the week on Astove. Every part of the atoll was explored in search of fish.

To no surprise, Alphonse Island continued to provide prime catches this week. Even with some strong winds and rainfall, our anglers had a memorable week with lots of excellent catches.

As the festive season unfolded on the flats of St. Francois, new angling adventures came to life. From epic GT encounters to wrangling permit and milkfish, we have it all. Stay tuned as we share the highlights from the Festive Season on Alphonse Island.
