The party landed 101 fish for their visit to 18 rods. Every member of the party caught at least one fish with a number of first salmon and quite a few first of many.

The opening was slow with tough conditions. That said in the first 6.5 days fishing we landed 54 fish with an average of 15 rods fishing the river.

After a lovely dinner on the evening of the 30th June we opened the lodge fishing season on the East Ranga with great expectation.

Week 17 started off with some calm and exciting spring tides. Our new group was mostly return guest so they were very excited to be back and see what the week held.

The spring tides were on our side this week and produced some lovely fish included some bigger GTs.

Week 15 bought 12 anglers to Cosmoledo, with slow moving tides to start the guides were on the search for some big fish.

Even with some unfavorable weather conditions from time to time, the team caught some great fish.

Week 16 started off with calm conditions and exciting neap tides. Our new group was raring to go!

A week of four seasons in one day here on Alphonse this week, with some crazy winds and massive thundershowers.

Week 14, 11 anglers, spring tides and a lot of familure faces!

Despite a reduced over all salmon catch has decreased somewhat since 2020 at East Ranga, the catch figures for 2021 do not show the full story at all.

Week 14 started off with some exiting neap tides.

An eventful week here on Alphonse with lovely weather and lots of fish around. The neap tides produced some permit, two triggers and a good few GT.

Week 13 on Cosmoledo welcomed 11 anglers and neap tides.

Despite the weather creating some challenges throughout the week the team still managed some great catches.

We were treated with some much-desired sunshine at the end of the week and the catches sure showed the joy that the sun bought!
