What a team

The large group of friends fishing 19-24 July had a fantastic 5 days / 10 sessions fishing.

With grilse beginning to arrive but not in numbers, the more than 200 fish landed included a high percentage of two sea winter fish in the 10-16lb range, topped by a few fish in the very high teens. The largest landed for the week being Jeremy’s 95cm salmon, a deep impressive fish.

 This team specialise in revelry and laughter, and the lodge management and staff aided and abetted with seamless service and typical smooth operations. Along with the fun, this team really get out onto the river with intent, enjoying and appreciating the great sport on offer, and equally the effort and commitment of the guides.  

Sink tips, medium size winged tubes and the occasional sunray on a floating line accounted for the mostly very fresh run salmon.

A really memorable and enjoyable few days on the East Ranga.
